Behavior / Story

Laya is a survivor. We have no words to describe her. She is a die-hard fighter, has an extraordinary sense of orientation, is a sweet and kind dog and very affectionate. Her angel face says everything. She has a squint eye from birth, making her different and so pretty!

Laya's story, as so many other's, starts in the streets. During her first two years she has been wandering restlessly, day after day along the road that joins two towns of Murcia. She was always seen walking along the side of the road, by day, by night, rain or shine...always in her peculiar style, hopping and knowing how to avoid cars. She made that journey back and forth everyday looking for food. Then by night, or when it was too cold or the sun was too harsh to bear, she took shelter under the bushes and cuddled up like a little donut to rest. It was a pityful sight. Until one day of many, she had 5 precious puppies. Even tough they were protected by their mother they were in a very serious danger, and that was the moment we were able to catch her, because we had wanted to do it for a long time but she had never let us get near her...until the moment she realized we were there to help her and her puppies.

And with us she is from that moment until now. Laya and one of her puppies (Wok) are still in adoption. Laya has got use to living with us even during the first days she escaped and returned to the same road where she had lived all her life, but then she returned to Pro-Setter and she has never tried to escape. Since then she doesn't separate from us.

Laya is extremely affectionate, humble, friendly, calm and kind. She gets fantastic with dogs, cats and people. She is the perfect companion, and she is waiting for you! Will you give her an opportunity? She really deserves it...
