Health	Complete analythic - we are waiting for the final results from the laboratory. Severe mamary infection (mastitis). Someone took her puppies away from her (we do not know what they did to them) and the mastitis is the consequence of that. She is receiving treatment for it. She is very thin, must gain some weight.

Behaviour / Story

This beauty is Asia, another victim of the hunters of this country.

We must tell the same story over and over again, and always end with the same sentence: "Abandoned by hunters...Until when?

Asia had been a long time wandering in the steets of a small town in Murcia. Last february we tried to rescue her and her two puppies but it was impossible. Her mistrustfulness and fear made her run away whenever she saw us or whoever tried to save her.

Some weeks ago, a woman who fed her got in touch with our volunteer Sandra and told her she could touch Asia because each day she gave food to her and the other dogs who were with her (among them one her sons of a previous litter, which we weren't able to catch and that must be over a year now). Also a black greyhound who has been impossible to reach up to the moment

We learnt that she was pregnant thanks to the woman who fed her, so we decided to start tracking Asia immediately. As always, she was elusive and could not find her. She had her babies and we know someone took them away from her a week or two ago and nothing is known about them. That is the reason she has a mastitis, a mamary infection due to an accumulation of milk. We are giving her treatment an hope she will soon recover from this painful infection.

She is also very thin, but could be worse, as fortunately this kind woman fed her and that helped her to survive in the streets. For some time she approached but wouldn't let the woman touch her, until a few days ago that, while the woman was feeding her, our volunteer Sandra managed to catch Asia and quickly both of them put leashed her so she couln't escape. Archieved! Sandra and the woman couldn't believe it! Then, they took Asia to Pro-Setter and now we are trying to heal both her physical and emotional wounds so she will soon be a happy and plenty dog! She deserves it! We still have the rescue of her son and the black greyhound pending.

She is very scared, so we have started a natural therapy with Bach flowers thanks to our friend Beatrice, so she calms down and little by little starts losing the burden of her fears, lack of trust and insecurities. Today, after a photo session and a bath (you can see a photo of her naping on the sofa) she was very calm and started wagging her tail at us.
