Kara has spent too much waiting for a home....Why? Cause she is big? Because she has the burden of an illness which causes her no pain nor unhappiness, but stops people from looking at her?

Yes, she has leishmania, but this desn't interfere with her life, it doesn't stop her will to live nor to enjoy every minute of her existence! That life it cost her so much to earn, and the one she finally has since she arrived to us in february. That life someone wanted to take away from her and didn't suceed...

Is Kara destined to wait for a real home forever? Let's hope not, because nothing would grieve so much as to watch her waiting months and months for her angel to come. Because like all the others she deserves a life in a home, because she was born among misfortune until one day her star shone guiding her to us. Because that day came and she was born again.

Finding a home would be the biggest thing it could happen to her.

When be come across cases like Kara's, like Fujur's....we don't know where to start. It's hard to watch them and wonder what horrors did they go through during their whole life.

Yesterday afternoon, as we were returning home, we spotted Kara stray. She was a little nervous, but she is a very grateful dog. She didn't stop wagging her heavy tail from side to side, she even moved it just for seeing us! She followed us with her eyes and after eating and meeting the pack she was satisfied and calm and accepted by the other dogs.

Kara is the typical case of abandonment and mistreat. It's obvious the lack of love she has suffered, you can see that she has been a stray practically her whole life. If you make quick moves or bend to catch something from the floor, she gets away to avoid hitting....she even feared the photo camera! But finally she has gotten used to it and we 've been able to take some photos of her. Photos that say more than words, and state a life full of agonies from the moment she was born and fell in the wrong hands. This is the price those who cannot choose have to pay , but because of that we are all here to help, so please spread her case around and together we can find a home for Kara, so she can lead a new and happy life :-)

Kara is positive in leishmania but has no organs affected, she is in good condition and just needs an alopurinol pill per day, which is not expensive. It is not contagious nor stops a dog for having a normal life.

We need with urgency sponsors for Kara. Because of her thinness she eats a special recovery food and in big quantities, and we have many extreme cases in our shelter! We also need to treat her of a mamary infection which you can see in the photos, one of her teats is swollen, it's the size of my fist. When we took her from the streets we were at the same time happy and horrified, you couldn't imagine how!
